Thats identical to my grandpas old Fairmount wagon he had... it was white, but it had red interior, but it didnt have all of those options... that neat! Power windows and power seat!

Grandpas had 11K miles when he got it in 1990. Oddly, no dash cracks, but the top of the dash had faded black by 1995.

Glad it got a good home... I like the original hubcaps better though.

    Nice car! (y)

Oh, you are changing out the original engine? :49: Those inline 6-cylinders are awesome engines - or does this one have an issue with it? Grandpa never had any trouble with his.

I'm glad you got it. Definately post pics when it's done. I like the dog-dish cap look. That's what sold me on mine.
Do what you want to the car. Express your originality!!

I have always loved the dog dish look... I was in California for about a year almost 10yrs ago. I used to hit all the junkyards and weep a little at all the clean cars just sitting there because they couldn't pass smog. I used to buy all the dog-dish caps I could find for $4 a piece :)

I carry on the look with all my vehicles :D

Well I hope you find some for the Fairmont. Factory dishes were stock on the Utility fleet wagons, but find a good set is a bear. I've been looking for 5 years and no luck. Got a nice set of wire discs for $10 for mine though. I had the wires on my then new, 1981 Farimont Futura wagon, but they kept falling off. Seems the wheels I got weren't the right ones for the wires (not deep enough for the disc grips to snap in the groove). The dishes are much cleaner. No valve extensions, fewer wheel weights, and the wheels stay rustfree longer.
