I like this wagon a lot, and even though the rear bumper is from a different make, the installation looks to be nicely done and tidy, at least in this pic. I'd drive it! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima (while I look for the correct bumper!)

You just have to take a real wide turn, no hugging corners:biglaugh:

You have to admit, weather it be this seller or one before, pretty good job getting a rear bumper that looks expectable...considering where would you find a original today. But, why was is swapped, rust, bumper dent, or more?

I have the coffin nose Matador wagon too (1975) ,, the way I get passed the front-end is to approach the car around the back,, and never pass by the front..:jumping: I have several bumpers for that car in good condition...
just too hard to sell cause ya can't ship them reasonably:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

The 75 78 front end never bothered me, but the 74 is just ugly.

I was pretty sure it wasn't a wagon bumper cause they are straight across the top and the cutlass is rounded across the top

A full-sized GM bumper of that era would be about nine inches too wide to fit the AMC, anyway.

AND, it just don't look like the bumper that Wix' found to be true;)

....So AMC full size = GM mid size.:party5:

The 75-78 are the same horizontal grille
74 is a vertical grille with a post in the middle
I have both from parted out cars..

It looks EXACTLY like a 1975 Cutlass rear Bumper!
And the width would be just about perfect to match-up.
    So, my guess is a 75 !

You know what, you're right, it's not a '74, but a '75 like pictured above.
The 1974 Cutlass rear bumper looks nothing like this.

I was being sarcastic. Of course the '74 and '75 Cutlass bumpers are obviously exactly the same. I posted pictures of both. I just found it funny that the debate and speculation continued for an entire additional page.

I think it's funny that Oldsmobile used '78 Matador wagon rear bumpers for those Cutlasseses.:rofl2:
