    The first time I did a tune up on my step-grandfather's 78 Skylark, I laughed at the distributor cap. No wonder the thing shook!

    I don't know if it was still odd firing or not, but it was certainly still a 90 degree V, nut the 231 V-6 was the base engine in the full sized B-body coupes and sedans. It was backed up by the 3 speed Turbo 200 automatic transmission. I saw ONE 84 Delta 88 Royale sedan with it, which was odd, considering the car had every other option you could get on a Delta that year! When I bought my 84 Delta 88 coupe, I paid extra for the 307 V-8 and more again for the overdrive 200R4 that replaced the 3-speed Turbo 350 that was standard behind the 8. If you got the tow package, the overdrive was not available, either.
