This guy must keep a close eye on the train schedule. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/1973-oldsmobile-toronado.53213/
Nice looking car and nicely optioned. Strange to see a cruise control car with no tilt steering column. This front end of Olds always just screamed "Family Truckster" to me. I can't imagine the comments you'd get driving it around town, I used to get that comment on my '73 daily.
One of the nicest Custom Cruisers from this period we've seen...…. I'd love to drive one with the 403, just to get a comparison on how much power I'm missing with the 307.....
I've driven both and the 403 is hands down a quicker car off the line and cruises better. The 307 is ok, but it always feels like it's struggling at the higher speeds while the 403 does not.
With almost a 100 cubic inch difference I bet the cars did feel different. Back in the early 60s there was a discernable difference even in normal driving between a 283 Chevy and a 327.
