1977 AMC Matador Barcelona

I like this one a lot!

I always thought it was odd that for the last years of the Matador series that power windows were optional for the four-door sedan and wagon, but flat-out unavailable for the coupe. Anyone know why? :confused:

 

I never knew that. Always assumed they were available on the coupe. You wouldn't find many Matador sedans or wagons equipped with PW though. Once AMC came out with the Eagle, you started seeing PW on more of their vehicles.

 

Nope. Here it is. Power windows optional for sedan and wagon only, not the coupe.

 

That white Rambler wagon is actually kind of nice, however, the seller apparently doesn't know the difference between inline and V. I bet that the mechanism for the windows on wagons and 4dr's was probably the same whereas the coupe would have needed it's own mechanism, just a guess.

Oh yeah! When you made that post, I had to find out for myself......was certainly surprised. And although I don't recall looking at too many Matador coupes when they came out (at auto shows, etc.), I don't remember seeing any with PW.....which makes sense now, duh.
