Interesting - had not noticed until now, Professor. Wonder what the story is on that?

Absolutely stunning. I've always felt that if I'm going to own a wagon, it might as well be the biggest one ever built and that would be the '73-'78 Squire or Colony Park. Last Spring I went to Carlisle and found a gorgeous '74 in that rust/brown color they had back then. It had 41000 miles and was owned by one family since it was new. I checked out that car for about 45 minutes until my brothers forcibly removed from it. Wanted it so bad, but the guy was asking $9k for it. Obviously I had to pass and stay with my '87.
Hey, I think I took some pics of it in my phone. Let me see if I can post them.

Nice, looks like it needs some work on the exterior and that roof rack thing. Wonder how hard it is to find a roof rack?

@ anderk unless you know of a parts car to pick one from, incredibly hard. i notice you live in dfw. 70's and 80's ford wagons are virtually non existant down here. i got my 84' country squire from the previous owner in frisco, who got it from the original owner in west virginia. this area is sadly too affluent and those older cars just arent around here much. the seem to be more prevalant out west, or in the midwest and southeast. if you want to talk more about these wagons here, gimme a shout. my email is texaswestern70mac@hotmail.com. nice to meet another 70's ford wagon junkie in the area (y)

That's $3900 obo. Remember, he couldn't get his opening bid of $3500 on ebay last August.

My guess is he would jump at a $3500 offer. If it's not a rustbucket underneath, it would easily be worth that.

As for the roof rack, if you couldn't find one locally, there are 5 pages of yards with 73-78 Ford wagons on car-part.com (I searched for tail lights). One should have a decent roof rack. Eventually, I'm sure one will show up on ebay -- maybe even an NOS part.

I'm hoping very much that someone will give this car a good home. For not very much money, it looks like it would make a very nice driver/"casual" car show/fun car.
