Still really like this '76 Caprice Estate clam. What is a realistic price on this wagon?

Ok, guys here is the secret on this very great looking clam 1976 Caprice Estate station wagon.

    NO factory A/C!!!!

Check the window sticker. It has cruise control and tilt wheel, AM/FM 8 track stereo, PDL, power tailgate, 3rd seat, dual remote control rearview outside mirrors, split bench front seat with reclining passenger seat, factory wire wheel covers and more, but no a/c!!!!!!

The only thing I don't like is the lack of A/C. lol.

Yes, how oddly optioned. No factory a/c was kind of strange for an otherwise well equipped full-size Detroit wagon in 1976. Too bad - this is a very pretty Caprice Estate wagon.

Yep, a real shame. Just another one of those oddly optioned '70s cars. It reminds me of that '73 Buick Estate Wagon that we used to see for sale on here that was in Canada... a very loaded and nice wagon, even had wood-grain, 3rd seat, power windows, power gate, custom interior, etc, but it had no A/C.

Air conditioning was one of the most expensive options you could add to a car. In 84, it was $1,100 on a Delta 88, as an example. That was over 10% of the base price of the car! That is why so many people did not get it unless they lived in a very warm climate.

I love the interior in this one, does this have buckets? it seems like such a rare option along with cloth as most seem to have a full bench. Or is that the answer cloth buckets, vinyl bench as the white one in Texas also has cloth buckets as well.

As most of you know I'm not a woody fan....but there is something about this color combo with the wood grain that really catches my eye.....its a sharp car. Price is a little out of reach for me. A little lower and I really would have to put some serious thought into it.
