You will never believe this! This guy left me a message today saying that if I still wanted the wagon he would sell it to me if I brought cash and a truck and trailer. There are some crazy people in this world!

Yep "mad as a cut snake"

One thing I would suggest though, despite his poor and even shameful conduct, be carful not to cut your nose off to spite your face. Perhaps his other deal fell through and you are the only prospect left to him now. Well the shoe is now on the other foot!

You have already lost time, sleep and money trying to deal with this moron before, so now it might be time recoup some of that back. Why don't you send him a ridiculous "take it or leave it" offer and let him stew over it for a while. If he doesn't accept then so be it and you have lost nothing (other other than what you lost first time around), but if he accepts then justice and not to mention Karma has been payed back in spades!

    And you get your car:chirp:

This is still a wagon that I would love to have but this guy just can't be trusted.

If you REALLY want this wagon, I would go to his door, cash in hand, with a witness and a trailer to bring it home. Don't part with cash until signed ownership and receipt/Bill Of Sale are ready. From his door, go directly to the DMV and transfer ownership to you, even as an unfit vehicle. After that, you are done with him.

    I agree with MikeT

Show up with $1500 cash, a trailer, a buddy with a ccw (in case he decided to go squirrely with you) (if that's legal in Canada) and tell him you will buy it right then and there if he wants.

If he says "OK", then you have a nice looking wagon for a good deal. If not, then you haven't lost much.
