    I always wondered why they didn't make a real Impala SS wagon in 94-96. Already had the LT1...just needed the Vette aluminum heads and the badges, grille etc.

    Because they pay someone way too much to tell them what the public wants. I mean who in the world wants a fun family car to drive around! :confused:

    I thought all the B/D-Body LT1's used the iron head? Anyway, all they had to do was paint it black and slap the grille and wheels on and call it a day. Aside from some magazine making a Buick GS wagon though I don't think it really occurred to anyone back then.

    The Impala SS had the aluminum heads, Kev. Same as Corvette. About the only difference from my Cappy iron head engine. Those and a rebadge as I said above and....yup...voila! an SS wagon.:D As it is...we owners just had to do it ourselves.
