    Well thanks! :D

No problem! lol! Yep, the '74 Caprice was the last one used. They also changed the wagons every year as well except the last year and I think they kept the 1973 model wagon. I don't ever remember seeing a 1974 Satellite wagon. I guess it was nearing the end of the series, so they didn't both with it. The last year they should have given Carol a 1974 Chrysler Town & Country wagon! :)

Yeah, that white interior on the '73 was beautiful, but I bet it was not easy to keep clean.

Remember when TV shows had a MVM sponsor and all the featured cars were from the same manufacturer? That was very true on the 1960s and 1970s network programs. That makes the split last few years for "The Brady Bunch" that much stranger. Originally a strictly Mopar show, but the last three years, Mike has a GM Chevy but Carol still has a Mopar wagon? :anyone:

    Anyway,

I do remember that "The FBI" on ABC was a Ford sponsored Quinn-Martin production. It was on one of those episodes on season 1969-70 that I first saw a 1970 Thunderbird 2-door at the age of 5!!! Loved the sleek design and still do! I now have one as of 2005 with all power including the very, very rare (for the time) factory power sunroof option - love it!

That's a nice-looking TBird! I wouldn't mind having a 1970 Thunderbird someday to keep the wagon company, and then I could pretend I'm starring in my own Quinn-Martin production.

    Thanks, retropia!!!! :dancing:

The 1967-71 Thunderbirds with big block engines and full power accessories still fall largely under the radar of collectors! I bought my 1970 fully loaded from eBay on Oregon, rust-free and solid in 2005 for $4500 with 88k miles! :D

You are right and I have always wondered the same thing! You know the Brady Bunch used "Mopars" only until 1972, then Mikes car was a 1972 Chevy Impala convertible, then they used the Caprice for '73 and '74, but Carols wagon remained the Plymouth wagon. Well, why didn't they switch her to a Chevy Malibu wagon?? At the end of the show, it says, Chrysler vehicles furnished by Chrysler Corporation and Chevrolet vehicles furnished by General Motors Corporation. lol. They usually didn't switch makes like that. You know that Andy Griffith show always used new Fords, I Dream of Jeannie always used new Pontiacs, Bewitched always used new Chevrolets, Leave it to Beaver used Fords for season 1 (1957), then switched to Mopars for 1958 or 1959 and kept Mopars until the end of the show in 1963. As many times as I have seen it, you would think I would remember. LOL. I would always tell my dad... what if you lived in a town that was nothing but new Mopars, or Fords, etc? LOL. Did any show ever use all Buicks or Oldsmobiles? I don't think so... at least none that I recall. Mayberry RFD (spinoff to Andy Griffith) used Mopars if I recall, as did Lassie. Seemed like the shows used Mopars more than Ford or GM... maybe because they were the smaller of the big 3 back then and Mopar offered the movie companies a better deal on their cars?

Oh yeah, the Partridge Family used Chevrolets... at least when not in the bus!! Here are of their wagons! :)

In the early years, they had a Ford wagon!!

You know, also in 1970, when Brady Bunch was using only Mopars as their car... they slipped in this "new" 1970 Kingswood Estate wagon! :)

    Hi Kingswood,

I never followed the Partridge Family nearly well enough to respond intelligently!

    I've no doubt you're correct!!!

    Regards,

    John :)

    Sorry I derailed the thread.
    But.
The 70 Kingswood has dealer plates.
Mike Brady's convertible should have had blue plates. Those are inconsistent.
I love Hollywood.Yesterday I saw a western, shot on Catalina Island, with a powerboat in the background.

72Kingswood, there was a show back in the fifties, before your time, I'm sure, that was called "Highway Patrol" and starred Broderick Crawford as Dan Matthews. His patrol car was a big ol '56 Buick 2 dr. I've attached a thumbnail of it. I'm not sure if this is one of the originals, or a repro, but he always drove a Buick.

lol. Well I was a Brady fan, but never watch the Partridge Family much, but I would like to watch now seeing all of these wagons! Here is one I would like to have... a 1972 Malibu Concours Estate wagon!

The Partridge Family wagon in 1971! 1971 Impala.... so they had big Chevy wagons in 1971, 1973 and 1974... 1972, they had a Malibu wagon... but they did have the fancy Estate model. :)

NOW - about all of those same makes... check out all of the Chevrolets! :)

Now someone came rolling in... in an old '64 2-door Comet wagon... lol.
