Way back in '69 or so, I wasn't familiar with this deal either. I distinctly remember looking into a Pontiac and asking myself "Why would it have 2 radios?". Got my own '64 Pontiac a short while later.... This is from a '64Grand Prix with A/C, I only had a Ventura without A/C, but you get the idea.....

Thanks Krash, nice photo of your well optioned Grand Prix.

So as I understand correctly, any Bonneville or Grand Prix with factory air, have these controls? Is that 63-68? I am curious,

I have always wanted a 63 Bonneville wagon and was wondering if it would be the same design with Fact. air?

Looks like that particular feature started in the '63 Pontiac, and went through at least '67. Only on the BIG Pontiacs, though. And didn't matter if A/C or no A/C. you still got the "2 radios".

Very interesting, I'm going to have to do some research on these.

Thanks for the info on a very different design. :)

RatMaster, that's a great pic of the HVAC control on the Pontiac. What is your source for such a :camera:. Are there :camera: of other model's controls as well?

That car isn't from around here originally for sure, way too clean, it's about 45 minutes south of my place.
You can see it was dragged sideways through the dirt, that's a little troublesome. You'll be getting some pets with that one going by the nest remnants in the glove box and the chewed up nut shells on top of the upper radiator support. That open back window is like an engraved invitation to the critters too. It almost has to have those little squirrels or chipmunks living in it by now. The floor pan in the back is probably full of water, it does make a nice indoor pool and ice rink for the beasts.:)
I'd be seriously interested in the car if it wasn't green.

I'd look at it if it weren't 2000 miles away. I even LIKE the green!

Oh yeah, and I'm broke and have no room to park it. But I still keep looking at the ad for some reason.
