    Well he was flying in his 3rd shooting war at the time, and if I remember correctly he did it about a week before being deployed on his 1st of two tours to Nam.
    But my mother could take a joke most of the time, I remember her father teasing her sometime soon after that "she had to let the war (WWII) go! We won and the Germans lost" I bet she had about 3 Mint Julep's later that day! She had to be tough though to raise 7 kids with a Husband that was at sea at least 6 months out of every year.

    Amen. I like her already That she detested that slow Bel-Air, and she slugged back 3 mint juleps!
