Here's a late model CV custom for sale in Hemmings. Not as elegant a conversion but different. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/ford/crown_victoria/1127076.html
License plate says it's the same one we've got pictured in our gallery (under 'Concept/Custom wagons....'), only they've added the wood.....
Wow, good find KK. You must be a cop or a detective!! Never did understand why Ford didn't make a wagon when they redesigned the Crown in '92. They were always the "wagon master". I really think they dropped the ball on that one.
I've been wanting to know more about that Crown Vic wagon ever since those pics showed up years ago. Never could find anything on it, except the pics. At least now we have a few more details. The seller's ad says it was specially made for a funeral home as a flower car. Curious - why did they put the third seat in then? Also seems to me that for a business, spending thousands to modify a sedan into a wagon around '97, when you could have just bought a slightly used Chevy Caprice or a Buick Roadmaster (stock) - would have been a waste of money. Sure would like to know the whole story here.....
In the interest of keeping these all together, I found this on a website last night. Looks like it was taken before the Di-Noc and trailer hitch were installed. I posted it in another thread before realizing that I had seen it before. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=102412#post102412
In the ad, it says the dinoc is magnetized so you can take it on and off. I gotta say, that's pretty creative.
