Well, good to hear from you, Mike. ( I knew you were lurking....) Yeah, arrived up here on August 15th. Still looking for gainful employment, though. Keeping on top of 3.4 acres as well......
Sounds great, Marshall...(except maybe for the job thing). You'll have to send me some pix of the place when you get some. I hope you and the wife are happy and are enjoying your new digs.
I've been just waiting to talk more about old Chevys!! I don't know a whole lot about some of the other brands and know just about nothing on the newer stuff. Bill
we were worried about you! i noticed you disappeared off impala ss forum too! so i was a lil worried. i think tom (caprice estate) was too. we missed your wisdom! oh btw, if your still looking ...i saw a black southern..low miles roadmaster estate, with beige or grey interior the other day on either autotrader or ebay
Thanks, Ian. I'm still on just about anything available anywhere but still haven't jumped on one, Normy. If I ever find one I want and buy it I'll drive over to Portage and see Tom. Of course, I'll post pix too.
I try not to stay away too long. Besides, lately the Country Squire has been having more issues than I can shake a dip stick at.
Sorry I haven't been around, my loss. I had a lot happening and then I had the funk for a while, no big deal and all is cool now. Then I couldn't find the correct name of the site to get back on. You know that there's an "s" on the end of stationwagonforum? The Vista Cruiser is all ready and going in for paint as soon as I get off my lazy butt and take the bumpers back off.
Don't you hate those 'funks'! It happened to me back in the 80's, I was about 35, lost a huge investment (7 figures), got a new job and quit after a few months, and single, again. So I picked myself up, started another business, got married, and hit another funk period. Partnered in another business, got married again, and never looked back. I'm a D.I.N.K. Double Income No Kids, and I don't regret that, for a lot of reasons. But those funks are a good time to regroup and revise and ponder. Thinking it out just isn't good enough. It's like polishing a turd with an intellectual wax job. You gotta dig deep, find out you're really a great guy, and put that to work for yourself. Toughest Love I ever gave myself. Now this won't help with the Forum's name, but it might help with your project(s): http://www.stationwagon.com/
We missed you for a long while. We were wondering if you got lucky and found the perfect wagon for you. There are so many choices. I go crazy looking at everything else thinking they are all better than what I've got. I'm a bit A.D.D when it comes to looking and don't always appreciate the fine wagon in my own garage. Good luck on the search and don't disappear for so long.
I know A.D.D. is a real infirmity, but when it comes to cars and women, it's just a natural inborn trait. That's not bad, is it?
That would be fantastic! Would love to see a nice Electra wagon if you get your hands on one. I know how picky you are, so I know it'll be a winner. Was pretty curious as to where the heck you had been.
