Ya notice Mike hasn't responded? He's probably out new car shopping with Misty. What was he thinking? Making her drive a big antique car! I'm sure she'd enjoy a Kia or a Smart Car better.
Don't NOBODY let Ma hear any nonsense about new cars! After all, her NEW car is 23 years old. Arthur was her 60th birthday present to herself. Yes, you can do the math. Suggest a new car to Ma and you will get this totally blank look, as if to ask "What on EARTH do I want with a new car? I have one!"
Hahaha, no new cars for now. She calmed down about it. For some reason she thought it was a 2002 model. Damn toll bill.....
That's what I think. When I look at it or drive it, it does not seem at all old to me...but then again I may be getting old myself!
Heh, don't feel bad, I see new cars all the time and I'm thinking to myself "Now what on earth is that?". I can identify more newer cars than old, (1970's-mid 2000's), but lately I've given up caring. Should've seen my reaction the first time I saw a Nissan Cube.
The wife drives a Toyota. It's the one with the emblem that looks like a cowboy hat. All the rest look the same. Back in the early 60's, there was NO WHITE NOISE. We would sit on the bench in front of the general store sipping a nickel Coke and listen for cars. You could hear them 2 miles away as they came down the hill, crossed the south bridge, and went thru the curves before getting into town. We would guess the make and year of the car just from listening to it's engine and exhaust noise. Every car had its own distinctive sound back then.
I thought it was the chubby offspring of a Datsun 810 and some dodge 'cause of the brake light. But bread box works too!
Now they all go Hummmmmmmmm !Won't it be fun when our grandkids go to a salvage yard and all the emblems and decals have fallen off. Already seen places that look like a swap meet with parts in bins, shelves, and tables.
