People pay stupid money on eBay and other places for the 91-96 Buick Roadmaster wagon "flyaway trim". That's the trim that flys off the rear door when you're going down the road. I grab them every time I go to the boneyard if they're to be had, ten to fifteen bucks. Same goes for the rear cargo area light lenses.

And someone will likely buy those clamps. It never ceases to amaze me. I can only imagine what a comparable set of Mopar clamps would sell for. In my experience, GM stuff is the least expensive, FoMoCo stuff is twice as expensive as GM and Mopar stuff requires you to get a second mortgage AND give up your first born.

LOL, great stuff guys. We just got to laugh! $900 for a single bolt, LOL.

I can relate to the Mopar issue. Until a few years ago I had a Superbird. Anytime I wanted something, it was either not available or out of this world. Plus, you add Superbird to a description for an item, and that tripled the price again. Good thing it was mainly a Belvedere. If you could find a Belvedere part, it was cheaper.

Same thing applies to FIAT and Ferrari. Most of the electrical items (switches, relays, circuit breakers and such) are the very same part on a FIAT sedan or a Ferrari Mondial. The FIAT part is usually 80% less money than the very same part at the Ferrari dealer. Same part number, same box.

I sell quite a bit on eBay, and usually as auctions so stuff sells for what the market will bear. At times those prices can be obscene! Here are a few I have sold, and the prices that they bid up to:

1966 Comet cast trim that runs between the tail lights, used, nice: $585
1966 Fairlane bucket seat stands, brackets and washers, small stamped steel pieces, restored: $345 a set (sold 4 sets at this price)
1969 Mustang A/C plastic ductwork, used, but cleaned and in perfect condition, 8 pcs. if memory serves me: over $2,000!
1966 Comet dash pad, not perfect, but very nice: $635

While these prices are crazy, all except the Mustang A/C pcs were going prices at the time. I still have no idea what the purchasers of those duct pcs were thinking!

Holy smokes Paul! Well those funds help offset the restoration process costs for your wagon. :)

I will have a few parts (between the 2 67's I have/had) left over when mine is finally finished (sometime this year I hope). I know they won't see those prices, but I hope I can get a few bucks back.

It's crazy sometimes. Each of those auction were started at $9.95 with no reserve and left to the highest bidder. But, as you say, it has helped with the wagon. I've purchased the third row seat setup, an NOS fender, quite a few NOS pieces of trim, name plates, tailgate hinge and other hard to find parts, not to mention the console and buckets seats. My $1,100 project has grown exponentially, but the parts I sell are the only way I fund it, and with paint coming up soon, I need to sell a few more. =)
