I hate to ask, but is it using coolant?

It's not using coolant and with the compressionAll being at 150 I doubt it's a head gasket or cracked head. The 2 sparks have a light brown tint while the others have a dark brown tint. I think it's a carb or vacuum leak issue.

I pulled valve covers today and both intake/exhaust valves move as they should. I figured if there was a problem it would be on the intake side. I am really thinking its a vacuum leak. I removed the carburator and found only two gaskets. I think there should be three mounting gaskets. A lower, the metal heat shield, and then a top gasket. I will do some more research and see what should be there. It's odd that number 7 and number 2 are the cylinders running lean, the rest all look good. They must be on the same intake path where the vacuu leak is at. Also wondering if the fuel pump might be getting weak.

Well I found my vaccumm leak on the Buick, I had the carb rebuilt and when reinstalling it I only used the tin gasket and the one baseplate gasket. I installed the other gasket, tweaked the timing, removed some old crappy vacuum lines and she runs like a champ now. BUT, while playing with the timing I advanced it a little to far. Tried starting it and crack, snapped the head off the starter. So hopefully I can go through the semi trailers of old parts and find a donor starter to replace the head. Good Times.......I hate self inflicted wounds
