I worked at stripping the engine for pulling (heads intake etc) & detailing under the hood. This thread is going to keep going for sure. We've got 2 wagons now

Getting the doors realigned and putting in bear claw latches. Then the wiring will start.

Good luck on getting the door gaps perfect. I spent way too much time on my 1948 Chevy panel than I expected. Couldn't find door pins at the time so used grade eight bolts.
Also put the bearclaw latches in the door post instead of door. This way the wiring is not in doors. Sadly still will have window wires in doors. Didn't do the suicide thing because I wanted to be diffeerent. l Left them stock.

Cat............the hinge pins you need can be got at any of your local body shop supply. I called the place I do business with and they carried 3/8" hinge pins. If they don't have them in stock, I'm sure they can order them for you.

Thanks but too late. I drilled them out and used grade 8 bolts and plenty of white grease. At the rate I'm going on it they will never wear out. Even the right rear door is electric. Was gonna add a cylinder but don't really need it to pop the door open. Later I want to change those rear door bolts to stainless so they will look rite purdy!:rofl2:

Thanks a lot. Behind the Monte Carlo flip down tag holder is the trailer hitch and plug. Since to only fancy metal benders I have are trees, I made the roll pan in four pieces then welded it together. Plans were to run exhaust out holes in pan and add 50 Pontiac tail lites. But now don''t want to make holes in my roll pan.
Plan "B" or whichever I am on, is just put LED lites in the stock small round lites. Plan "X" was to put PT lites in fenders. I evan bought a set cheap years ago. My plans change daily!:banghead3:
[IMG]I think if you click on this photo it will get larger. Worked for me!
Notice Tauris wagon third brake lite mounted flush. Stainless trim goes around the rubber on windows. I fibbed, the wagon has an 87 Escort third brake lite.

Thats how these things go for sure, I think I am in love with your panel! Your girlfriend is hot! That roll pan looks amazing I wouldn't want holes in it either.

This sounds fair since I'm in love with your wagon! Panel is supposed to be bright red but that green sure would look nice on it!

Hell yes it would! I can picture either color really. A set of 20" billets in the back and 18" up front with a mild sport rake would be nice too, but it's your build and your baby, I just love it.

As some of you may have guessed RED is my color. But since this project has been pushed, shoved, onto the back burner I see way too many red projects.
I'm getting sick of my red Dodge truck. Maybe you have noticed one or two others! Yes, even the adds use red vehicles so a bright green or any other color is beginning to sound good for the panel. I'd be happy to have it all grey primer and together for now.:slap:
As for wheels/tires, I still like old school chrome reversed and baby moons.

Built my radio console today. Original plan was to make speakers into it but the bulkyness of it made me change my mind. I have it all done and it is stained, just waiting to put the varnish clear on it and then will get pictures of it

Put on a clean air filter, added some Stabil to the gas, fired her up, shook a bunch of sh*t off the walls of the garage. Sat on a stool with a beer, smoked and listen to her rumble for a while with a huge grin on my face. :D

Last week I fixed the vacuum leak that was making him shift poorly. (TH350)

Today got the 5" of snow off of him. Pulled him in the garage and put tarps over the other car.

I have already started to amass parts to make my 3 speed auto a 3 speed stick..... More to come....
