Sucked the R12 out of the wagon, replaced o rings, changed compressor oil, recharged and she is blowing 49 degrees on a 81 degree day. I think it was a success

I finally got my wagon detailed today... I know it is not roadworthy yet, but I had fun getting it cleaned up. I have no idea why the pics turned out so small. At least I also have it back together and running.

Better ones tomorrow in better light.

I need to start on the bodywork asap.

I put tape around windows to keep water out... it works! lol. This is obviously a temporary fix... I am going to have the windows removed, rust repaired and resealed when time/funds allow.

    Before any cleaning...

I was going to put an LT1 airbox in my 91 OCC after moving the evap canister under the wheelhouse, and found it will not fit. I guess a custom one is in the works. I also replaced the connector for the oil level sender on my 92 OCC. I found that the old one had a broken pin.

After reading the service bulletin for the cruise control on the 92 B-bodies, I ordered the required resistor. It came today, and I will solder it in tomorrow.

I may even put the like new donor seats in the 92 as well. I am getting tired of having stiff split leather gouging into my back.

I am at somewhat of a loss for things to do except drive the cars. I have fixed almost everything I can on them. I have a couple of door panels to repair for sale, and I am working on some more molds for 91-92 fender skirts. The first set of molds are a little crude, and will not stand up to many more uses. If anyone is interested in a set of fender skirts for a 91 or 92 OCC, I can still make a few with the molds I have.

Thanks! Me either... Lord knows I have waited long enough. lol.

I am going to have to crawl under there and see what kind of fuel lines I need.

I don't know what happened to the pics I took yesterday... I took them with my phone and it usually does fine, but for some reason they turned out so small. I took more today with the best camera I had... I thought I would share them so everyone could at least see my cleaning progress. This car was really grimy before I did some cleaning. This time I think the photos turned out too large. LOL. Oh well. :D

Nice...now we need to see some pics of the engine running 72KingswoodEstate. :)

There was actually a '91 Custom Cruiser at the Pull-A-Part, just in yesterday.
I went and checked it out and it was a dark blue metallic painted flat white with flat black door jambs and was formerly a dog hauler for a security company.:( The car did have a class III hitch but there was so much scaly rust on it that it would fall to pieces if you could even get it off.
They must of had wire cage deals on all the rear windows and a divider between the front and rear because that car had holes drilled everywhere to screw the things in, the roof looked like Swiss cheese. There wasn't much to get, the dogs scratched up anything that didn't have holes drilled in in it. The grid for the rear defogger was even trashed, nice glass too, no wiper scratches which is rare around here anyway
I grabbed the flyaway trim, the inside D pillar trim to experiment on for a project, rear courtesy light lenses, a rare spare tire retainer screw, the vent window glass and lots of little pieces-parts.
Then I went home and took my GTO out endlessly cruising, with the top down and the tunes blasting of course.:)
You just can't put the top down in a wagon.:D

lol, thanks! Well she runs now... just haven't figured out the low power problem yet. We thought it was maybe a clogged exhaust system (and could be), but there seems to be a poor connection from the distributor, so now we are wondering if that may be the problem, or at least part of it. Someone my dad knows thinks he has a distributor for it... if not, I am going to a local parts store and just get one of the cheap ones... I think they are like $40. I also have a fuel line leaking under the car... since it has been setting for so long - it may be a good idea to replace all of the fuel hoses.

Cuel hoses are 3/8, 5/16, and 1/4. You can replace all of it with about 6ft of each

Thanks Swanny! I had no idea, that is a huge help! I will go pick those up tomorrow!

I dread putting gas in my original tank (filling it to full)... The most I have it in it was less than a 1/2 tank and it was OK. I an HOPING it does not leak, but I am not holding my breath. lol. So far, I have been lucky with my '73 Pontiac... original tank and so far it does not leak.

    Thanks again!
