Or is that fore fathers? I remember seeing OldFox riding in an old Studebaker wagon........... out west. That one had those special big wheels and skinny tires.

I wonder how many caught that back door reference to a Conestoga wagon.

Not that many of us here are fore fathers. Many don't even know Studebaker made wheelbarrows first, then wagons. Or John Deer made horsedrawn plows.

Even fewer know that wheelbarrows were invented by the Scots. They did it to teach the Irish how to walk upright.

Ya gotta understand something about old guys:

When I was 20, you were 5.....just a snot nosed kid. You were 1/4th my age.

When I was 30, you were 15...still a snot nosed kid. But you were now 1/2 of my age.

When I was 40, you were 25...a snot nosed kid with whiskers. You are now 5/8 of my age.

When I was 60, you were 45..a snot nosed kids with his own kids. You are now 3/4 of my age.

If this keeps up, eventually we will both be almost the same age. Your habits are set early in your formative years and as you age, you learn to cover things up and hide them from most people. But regardless of how old we get, you will always be remembered and treated as that same snot nosed kid from early on, cause that's how we remember you.

I'm not sure OldFox that I'd be callin that big boy a snot nosed kid! But our oldest son is 55 and we still think of him and his little brothers and sisters as little snot nosed kids.
I also remember when I thought anyone over 50 was old.

:thumbs2: Still makes me laugh, even my wife laughed when I showed her, because she hears my dad say the same exact thing to me! When a friend comes to the house my mom always says," I seen your little friend was over so I didn't bother you!" :rofl2:

As an Irishman, I'd like to offer a little clarity..........we didn't need help walking upright until after we invented beer..........plus, the wheelbarrow offered some support........

Is the bolt pattern on the truck the same as the wagon? Depending on the type truck. Would the truck have a 5 x 5 bolt pattern vs. a 4.75" on the wagon?

I think blasting the chrome and repainting them Argent silver would be cool.
Chrome is not that easy to blast, though.

:nohijacking:Are you trying to highjack this thread and get it back on topic?

I agree that painting them argent silver would look nice. But I think white with dog dish caps was a standard for some GM trucks.

Okay. I was wondering. I picked up a set of B-body steelies for my wagon. They were from a regular B-body sedan and they were 5 x 4.75".
So the B-body wagons had the 5 x 5 bolt pattern...I should have known that. :slap:
    I guess you'll be golden using the 15 x 8's off the truck. :)
