Dude!, That pic is freeken huge!

That has to be the best picture shown IMO! Wagons, panels, Jeep truck, that Ford crew cab and then that ship...... witch makes everything looks so small in comparison.[IMG]

    Great find on the picture:tiphat:

    Thanks Teddy.
Yeah, It's huge, but the small version didn't quite capture the scene real well.
I was especially happy when I discovered the old crew cab in the mix.

The photo is from the "tall ships" display in Portland OR.

I agree with Tedy. This is one awesome picture. I love it so much that I saved a copy of it to my computer. I love those old sailing ships! I used to liv in Oregon many, many years ago. It was somewhere between Salem and Eugene, not Portland, but I can't remember where specifically. Thanks again for the pic. :thumbs2:

Well, you've got Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon, Sweet Home - those are the larger towns in that area - not to mention all the little 2-block long places. Albany is right on the main highway, I-5, while the others arn't.

It was one of the smaller towns. I don't remember if we were near the highway or not. I wil have to look at a map and see if a name jogs my memory.

 I lived in Portland in around 1942 to 1944. As I remember I wasn't workig then like now. In fact I didn't have much more hair then either. About memory jogging, all I remember is rain, more rain, and vineyards!:yup:
