Re #31393 blue Ford. A photo of someone touching their car is always cool IMO. We have 100s of photos of our Safari and Mustangs and if Pam is in the shot it is usually hands on. She is a car lover.

I am in awe of how wide those lanes are compared to the cars in them.

ALL very small cars, and very old highway design, as well. Also - this ain't in the US. I suspect France or Germany. Notice there's an opposing exit lane for the traffic going away from the camera, and it's on the LEFT, AND, it's only a few feet from the lanes going the other way. A car goes out of control there and you very easily could have a head-on collision. This whole thing here is a really BAD design.......

First, I'm guessing the photo is mirror reversed. Most of the cars are Holdens, and I'm not aware of any left hand drive Holdens of that era. Sharing the foreground with the Holdens are a Hillman, a Vauxhaul and a Triumph wagon. Also visible in the photo are a few early 60's Falcons, a red Dodge truck and a full size 63 Chevy. All of those were sold new in Australia and New Zealand, so my guess is that the photo was taken in Australia or New Zealand around 1963.

Australia also imported American cars. That may be why their roadways were modelled on American standards, instead of on European or Asian
