My 1965 40 hp bus would've needed TWO overthrusters to break 70 MPH. http://drexfiles.wordpress.com/2009/05/23/supersize-those-fries-buckaroo-banzai/ Great gas mileage, though. Even at the necessary wide open throttle. (first bananna ever)
Did you take off the ebrake? Amazing the punishment those engine's could take. I had a 1956 Porsche that leave a 396 in the dust, and then I got a 1964 bug, and felt like I was going in reverse. Have you watched the hand motion on that 'naner! Inspiring ain't it? He could have run faster, too.
Heres one, not a wagon but talk about owning something NOBODY has. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/rvs/1433178774.html
We're a democracy. I can buy it no problem. Only, our Transport guys wouldn't let me drive it. It was built for the European Market, not Canada.
No kidding, wow I never knew, Ive seen Citerons here as new as 1985, honestly I didnt think the Citerons were even still being imported to the US in 85. You know, I just learned something.
Was that Subie-powered Vanagon a 6-cyl? ("SVX"). I like that......... Internet has some info on the 4-cyl Subie conversions - sounds pretty easy. Didn't see anything on a 6-cyl conversion, though.
