Boys and I were in Packwood for the long Memorial weekend. We decided to take a day tripe to Elbe and visit the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad. They closed down in 2020 and just returned to running tours this spring. We didn’t go for a ride this time. It was more of a scouting trip for a possible excursion later this summer.
Man, these trains are enormous! Just look at the size of the wheel compared to the man standing close by. Can you imagine working on these?
