    Be glad it doesn’t
Be glad it doesn’t have a roof rack, you’d be on top when you get to be 80, like aunt Edna.

Good to see you out and having fun and has Nathaniel started a list of things he would like to do with the Fury.
I missed not being able to meet your wife when we were out last year so it's good to see her enjoying herself with Nat at the wheel.

Yes, for the time being it will keep it's spot in the garage. Definitely will be in there during the winter.

I'm sorry that she wasn't able to meet you as well Kevin. It's been fun, I'm glad that Mrs. Orthmann has been joining us recently. It's kind of a rare occurrence unfortunately, so we've been taking advantage of it.

We had the family celebration of Nathaniel's birthday on Friday. He is the first in the line of grandkids, the oldest cousin. All of his little cousins adore him and he is so great with them. They were all very excited for him to blow out the candles on his birthday cake.

We had a great time. Nathaniel drove the Fury, and naturally Caleb rode in his usual spot in the wayback. He likes to just hangout back there until it's time to depart.

Was on my way to the gym on my lunch break and came across some stuff in a restaurant parking lot.

This 59 looks like one of those "spend the money on the drivetrain and suspension, but leave it looking like it was when we pulled it out of the field" builds.

The license plate is from Idaho, so I assume they are traveling to a show. There was a dually tow rig behind it, also with Idaho plates, hauling this cool little rig:

Reminds me of the Ranchero. A little unibody pickuplet, most likely based on a two door wagon or sedan delivery.

It was fun seeing another classic American wagon in the wild, especially one I have never seen before.

I also spotted this Wagoneer on a trailer in the larger parking lot next to the Macy's.

I think there is a law requiring every diesel pusher motorhome to pull a Jeep behind it.

Most of the time they aren't a cool Jeep like this though

With the Fury and '59 Chevy parked nose-to-nose, it's hard to realize they're only 5 years apart. The Fury looks so much more MODERN.

You're right Marshall. It really does look more modern. Crazy how quickly design evolved.

The last night of summer break the boys and I decided to go for a cruise and a milkshake (of course) and enjoy one last evening of freedom.

Cannon, the newest member of the pack, got in on the action too. He was VERY interested in Caleb’s shake

The following morning was the first day of School.

Caleb’s first day of Middle School, as a 6th grader

    IMG_5487.jpeg

and Nathaniel’s first day driving to School.

It was pretty surreal watching the two of them get into that car and drive away.
