That will let the engine slurp a little more gas! Great find Jeremiah!

    Thanks everyone.
Haha yeah, it will slurp a little more gas. But that's alright. I'm more concerned with smiles per gallon than miles per gallon. :thumbs2:

Did a little digging on that 4-barrel 318 Poly application. Found out it was available in 1961, in the full-sized Plymouth, and again in '62 in the 'down-sized' Fury models. Horsepower rating went from 230 with the 2-barrel up to 260 with the 4-barrel. Appears the option was dropped for '63 in favor of a 2-barrel 361 V8 application. I'm sure the same engines would have also been used in the Dodges of the time as well, but I didn't check those.

Aaaaah, just throw a square to spread bore spacer, and top it with a Q-Puke. The small primaries will give you cruise economy, and the secondaries will get you on to I-40 while leaving everyone behind you.

That 318 can't require a whole lot. A Holley Economizer 450 may work pretty well too.

My buddy who is doing the work is an Edelbrock guy. He asked me if I had any brand allegiance when it came to carbonators. I don't. So he is giving me an Edelbrock to use. Couldn't be happier.

I hate Economizers more than I hate Quadrajets. If he gets a Q-Jet from a '70s small V-8, it should work nicely.

I really enjoy reading all the posts about car problems, I have learned a bit. But other times it seems to be another language. :bouncy:

Technical items all have their own languages. But at least the language of old cars is easy to learn.

Plastic or steel? I'm guessing steel.

What did they do to refurbish them? Obviously a fresh coat of "paint" did they have to make any repairs? They look AWSOME! Nice upgrade Jeremiah!
