This house and the last one has the old phone lines in every room and the garage. It seemed hard to do, but years ago we cut the cord on the land lines. Funny, we'd recently had all new line run from the street past half way down our five acre lot because the old line had rotted and cracked, making service crappy.
Ended up with two cheap cell phones, now just one. Still get more irritating calls than I like. I don't need more car insurance, life insurance, or a grave site in Georgia............ Also if those physcics were really good they'd know I don't need my palm read...... or red.
Is this thing on? I spend more time upgrading free virus programs than using the computer.:slap::yikes:

So how much is 249€? Excuse my ignorance....the black one would look good in the hallway! I like how the title of this thread is about cooler lines, but no! We're talking about telephones:biglaugh:not even car phones, or cell phones. Telephones!!!:biglaugh:

Yeah, there seems to be no shortage of outright thread hijackers, in this forum:drool:. 249€ at present exchange rates equals: $279.1576 :http://www.finanzen.net/waehrungsrechner/euro_us-dollar
The cost of the phone would quickly pay itself, as long as the wife and kids never figure out how to use it.

I still think you can find a Western Electric desk set for a far better price...perhaps even one of these:

You can get one on Etsy with a Touch-Tone pad for $68 or another one on ePay for $85.

I like our cheap cell phone. Mostly I just click son #1, #2, #3, wife, or some other name and the phone does the walking.:wrongforum::nohijacking:
And, a land line does have a transmission line hooked up to it.:agreed::mg:I'm on topic.
