my dad had a 97 mark VIII (the bullet shaped one with the H.I.D headlights and the neon Taillights) i was gonna look for one when i was looking for my wagon. but a friend who works for a ford parts supplier talked me out of it. he said the parts are too hard to get. and the headlights are nonexistent.

I have a '91 Mark VII. I think it's one of the finest cars ever built. The accoutrements of the Lincoln, the drive train and speed of the Mustang and handles like a Porsche.

You Lincoln guys are spoiled rotten. I've never seen any brand of car with the level or volume or quality links page like this!
    http://www.lincolnsonline.com/links/links.html

Or a Tech Articles page like this!
    http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/tech.html

Any of our members could use that Links page, and even us humble Fox wagon owners! Son of a gun! :taz:

I'm sure there are a million Mustang sites out there too, Normy. No? Actually...as for the drivetrain...we Lincoln Mark owners can use a Mustang site. I've been a member at the linclonsonline forums and at the MarkVIIclub forums for quite sometime although I don't go there much anymore.

Yeah, but the Mustang sites don't cover all these topics in one links page with so many optional approaches. You'd have to see a half-a-dozen for this variety!:D

When I first joined up there they had very little on the Mark VII. I forget how long ago that was.

I can remember several car critics actually being pleased with the VIII's.Even in later years, when Lincoln had the LS6 and 8,they were calling the VIII's,Lincoln's greatest departure, from their conservative tradition,to date...American car critics actually liked an American car!:49: Who'd'a thunk it?;) And,except for the spare tire bump on the trunklid, they liked the VII's,too.:) I like the bumps.:yup:
