Couple years ago felt sorry for number two son in Illinois and no cable so I bought him a flat digital box maybe 8"X12 and a few inches thick. It's an antenna that works well over 25 miles at least. A friend near him and our new place had one. That's what I bought for our TV there. Less than $50 and no charges. It replaces the old type roof top. Figured my wife might want to watch some TV again. Getting too old to party.
Yeah, our new antenna is about 16 inches by 10 inches and can be moved around the room. We purchased a projector and now play movies on the side of the house. Even on cold nights! Fire pit, beer, good friends, neighbors, and dogs. The walk upstairs is a lot better then driving!
If I drive my Chevy wagon out there can we park on your lawn to watch movies? I miss the drive-in movies. I won't throw my empty cans in the grass.
Well since you mentioned driving your wagon on my lawn it is safe to say we are back on topic. Come on out! We have a nice drive in theatre in Ft. Collins. Love to take the wagon!
We've actually taken the 55 Chevy wagon to a few drive in movies and our van when we had it to several in lower Wisc and No Illinois. We've never made it to the one only 70 miles away near Ocala, Fl. It seems to open during special events and I believe is now a flea market. First drive in I remember was what they called "the Free Shows" in a field in mom's 34 Chevy. The screen was a large sheet type thing and speakers were mounted in trees or poles. The little consession stand was their only income.
There used to be an old drive in just outside of Providence R.I. that was reopened as a porn theatre. I remember almost crashing the car when I saw you know what on the giant screen as we passed by. For some reason, I think someone put the Kbash on it.
