I started pushing out to 1024 wide as there are not many folks still using 800x600 desktop resolution. Even the tiny little netbook laptops are 1024x768.

After reloading the page a few times, my question of number of images that it will cycle through has been answered. Looks like we've got quite a few now.

Without the text, the large logo and car image fit nicely into an 800 pixel width. You're the boss. I can stick to the format you recomend.

I agree the Taurus gotta go. They ain't bad cars and one of my coworkers has one and her and I always talk about how we have the only wagons at work. i think, just a suggestion, that we could take a pic of each member's vehicle, place it where the dog one is, in a different pic, and set it for rotation, so it shows that each member is important as a part of the whole. Wow, that sounded way more PC than I wanted it to

I'm sorry but I think the font looks gay.
The "S" almost looks like a stylized treble clef.
I'd prefer to see something that's more retro and less embellished.

Sorry you feel that way, Andy.
I had a Pontiac flavor in mind when I made it.

I'm not done making this stuff, bouncing ideas around and getting opinions.
There are still a lot of things I'd like to try out.
This represents all of us, so I'm not in a hurry to call anything final.

Don't sweat it Steve-O, not everyone is going to be pleased all the time. 99% of us like it and Stef is the most important of the bunch and he gave it (y)(y)

Geez, we're so damn polite around here aren't we! :Handshake:
I see where you're coming from on that, but the Grand Prix script is a little frilly for me too. Heck I can't even think of what a Grand Prix wagon looks like?
As far as font design goes, ask 30 people and you'll get 30 opinions. I thought I'd open it up for discussion anyways.

But heck this isn't design by comittee, it's your thang so do what you wanna do...

That is because there never was a Gran Prix wagon Andy.

That was my intent of this thread. To talk about what we like and don't like and try out ideas. I didn't know that Stefan was going to start using them yet.

Well, there was one 1973 prototype.
My Grand Le Mans has the same script style. I didn't have a pic of that handy to post.

Don't worry, I accept criticism well or I wouldn't have asked for opinions.

I like the new logo alot, but just wish it had some actual woodgrain from a real wagon. (Obviously my choice for that would be from an 87 Colony Park, but admittedly, I'm a bit prejudiced!!) I also agree that there's so many better wagons to have as opposed to the Taurus. Heck, they never even made a Taurus Squire, for crying out loud!! What were they thinking?

But that is a prototype. Which is unfortunate if they had went into production they would have had a big seller on their hands. The GP was a good car and the levels you could get right up to the Hurst edition made it one of those fit me the way I want it cars.

Some people still use Internet Explorer 6 and low resolutions (for the bigger font!). I still want to stick with the 800 pixel logo

I posted the logos up to get a better feel of how they would look. I would like to keep the amount of logos in rotation below 10.
