On the new to me 1975 chevelle station is some rust .
Its a rather original car, with still the original paint on it and no bondo to find .
Faded most of the clear coat missing, but in a way it just looks good .
On the fenders where most of the rust is , I will end up with holes when I remove it .
Easy to weld in some new scheet . bu what then.
Don,t want to start with bondo. and paining it any collor it will look not good.
And I just like to annoy off those a car schould be restored perfect guys . ( sorry)
So I,m thinking, clean out the rust, weld in some new steel, and just epoxy some band aid over it .
    Or othere good ideas

I'm in the same boat. Very original car with just a few small rust areas but I like the patina.

My plan is to cut out the rust and patch then spot paint the repaired area back to original. Blend as best as I can without repainting the whole panel, maybe scuff the gloss off with some superfine paper or scotch bright pads.

I found some places online that sell original color paints that can be purchased in rattle cans or in small quantities for spray guns.
