I saw this car on the TV show My Classic Car. It's gorgeous!!!! He also gets over 20mpg. I want it, I want it.
Actually, the doors, quarters, and tailgate are the same as those on the Buick and Olds wagons. The side glass is flat and easily obtained. Repro windshields are available. If you have the drop-down back window, the side glass can be tough to get. Amazingly, nearly all the weatherstrip is available from Steele. Upholstery material is available from SMS, as are door panels (for a price). Front sheet metal is the same as on other Tempests. As noted, engine parts are pretty easy to come by, and the trans is basically a Corvair trans with a different input shaft configuration. Suspension and brake parts can be difficult to get, as can good chrome. No one makes reproductions.
