    Ok, so once you have a picture of the rockers, we'll know how to proceed in getting them adjusted. That wagon sure is nice, though, for a '57; are there any rust problems with it?

    I wonder if the engine is making all this horse power if you're mistaking the lopity lope of a ratty camshaft for rough running? Sorry, I know this may sound dopey but I thought I'd ask. No offence intended.
    As for the heads, I wouldn't be too concerned as the builder might have used to different serial # heads with the same 2.02 valves? He might have had the head guy install the same valves in the different ser# heads. If that's the case, I don't think it matters much as far as the safety or reliability issues with your engine.
    And by the way, if it already has poly locks and roller rockers, the poly locks can and often do wear out. Their ability to lock the rockers in place diminishes after a while and many adjusting sessions. So get those valve covers off and send us some photos of the rockers so we can try and figure out the trouble. See you in the funny papers,
