Well I had to miss Power Tour this year due to health reasons. I went in for a colooscopy and the Dr found a growth he removed. I have been laid up since Friday and am awaiting the results from the lab. Any extra prayers yall may have will be well received and appreciated. My Dr seems to think the soft tissue is NOT cancer, but without it being examined further we just don't know. I hope whoever did make it will post photos! I will keep yall posted as well.
Prayer said. One day I will be a long hauler in a long roof, even if I have to put a jazz around lift on the hitch!
wish you all the best and I promiseuys t o sto post tons of pics when I get home. even got the gas monkey garage crew to sign the dash
Prayers Thank you Guys, I appreciate the extra prayers. I'm still holding out for good news. I'll keep yall posted when I know something. Till then, I'm still in recovery mode.
Went to the June 5th stop in Hoover, AL. Was there until around 2PM when starting getting some pretty bad looking clouds. Dad and I left to go eat lunch at Red Robin and ran into a down pour. Sad we didn't stay longer but glad we didn't stay longer! Drove my dad's 02 Z-06, that was nice! But current tires are not for wet interstate driving!
Health scare I just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts through these last couple of weeks. GOD answered your prayers and mine. I was terrified to get bad news being I have two small children and a wife that need me. I went for my follow up visit with my Dr and fortunately my lesion was precancerous. The Dr said that I did have some mild dysplasia, but that he believes if left unattended it would have become cancer within a year. Guys, I urge you go get checked. Colonoscopy is covered by most insurance. There is no reason anyone should suffer from colon cancer with all the screenings available today. In my situation, I have no family history so there was no reason for me to have this issue at my age (42), but I do. GO GET CHECKED! It may just save your life! Thank you Guys for all your support through this! I am looking forward to meeting all of yall one day. God Bless!
well 5400 miles a blown fuel pump and reg., broken front shock which took out the front brake hose and a blown pwr steering pump and we made it home . also slayed the tail of the dragon , the cherahola skyway ,lookout mountain parkway and moonshiners 28. pics to follow
Those photos are awesome!!! I bet even with the set backs yall had a great time. The first photo looks like a post card....Thanks for sharing.
every problem I had happened at the best possible time 1- fuel pump died on 75 near Ocala with 0 fuel pressure I was able to make it \20 miles to a pep boys . once I got there it turned out that a mechanic from down by me who remembered me from my local pep boys now worked in Ocala and got me back on the road 2- by now I had driven thry the mountains and exceeded the speed limit a little bit byt it wasn't till I was at the tupelo auto museum that the front shock snapped and took out the front brake hose. I was able to coast into a parking lot across the street and get it stopped with no problem. then had it towed and found the only hose in the whole town which fit and got back on my way 3- for those that don't know the tail of the dragon is 318 turns in 11 miles, a little hard on the steering with a big old wagon byt the pump didn't blow the seal till I hit the top of the mountain on the cherahola skyway 4- summit racing is open till 9 pm on Sunday and had everything I needed in stock for the steering
Glad to hear you made it. We encountered problems from the beginning. We had plan A, B, C, ect., for which vehicles we were taking. But a new transmission that wouldnt lock up, made us go to plan G. We ended up taking the daughters Corvette, and my Conversion van. The Corvette lost it's brake booster in Hot Springs, I found a Midas 2 miles away. They really stuck it to us, saw a Vette and out of state tags, the labor was reasonable, but they charged us $350 for a $135 dollar booster from O'reillys. Won't ever use Midas again. Got it back on the highway, started running like crap, made it into Little Rock, worked on it all evening but it just ran horrible. We made the hard decision to baby it home. Soon as we got To Texas, it ran great. Go Figure. Anyway looking forward to trying again in 2014 hope to see you all there.
