Being a Washington resident I always enjoy seeing things from my state's past.

 

Fifth and Marion, looking toward "808 Fifth Avenue" today. Almost all downtown real estate in Seattle is now sporting high rises.

 

Rest in peace, little buddy, you've certainly earned it.



The neighborhood cat, Shea, met an untimely demise sometime between Friday morning and last night. Joe found him under Babe's rear axle this morning, although he had been seen last night. He'll be taken care of by his owner now. I'm certainly missing him right now.

 

He looked like personality plus. A little buster!

 

He certainly was the Cock of the Walk in this neighborhood. We figure he met something that was badder than he was.

 

Sorry to hear about that. Always tough to loose a pet, even if it's technically someone else's.

 

Well, I've been in tough thunder, lightning, hail, snow, heat, high winds, and even typhoons at sea, but a short while ago, we all took shelter in the bathroom because we had a tornado watch right over our town. It's over with, but in my life, it's only the second time I've had to take shelter for a possibility of a storm or tornado.

 

Random thought of the day. Also feeling a bit down as I have been on the road for the last 8 weeks, returning home Friday, and my wife just informed me our old Bully dog did not wake up this morning. I will miss him. Feel bad as he always followed me where ever I went, not so much with my wife. And I didn't see him in his last 2 months with us.

Ah, it was a Godsend that the cell that went over didn't begin to spin, as it crossed the town SW to NE, and would've cut the town in two if a twister had spawned. But, did you see the video of the red Chevy pickup that got tossed around, landed on its driver side, then righted, and the driver drove away?

 

Dang! No I haven't seen that.
