A bit surprising, RMay. I was guessing YOU would be around your mid 40's or so right now...... You're actually more my age...... You get a lot done...for an old fart!

It’s a shame that looks like a black late ‘70’s Bronco in the background. As upside down as the car market is that might be worth more than the Vette. Cute picture though. Is your son into old cars?

I like the looks of that black Bronco. It's a little fuzzy in the enlarged photo, but it looks like a pretty good example of the late 70's off-roading scene.
I had a 78. I loved that thing. Wish I still had it.

Did it have the round headlights? I'd've thought I'd died and gone to Heaven if I could come up with a first-production full-sized Bronco with round headlights!

I think ‘77 was the last year for the smaller Broncos. Didn’t the change in ‘78 incorporate square lights and grill of the full size Ford Truck? I think with the second Gen bloated Bronco all you could get were square lights, all the way through’88. 1989 saw the ranger based Broncos. I would guess you could place a ‘77 F150 grill on there, or would the round headlights fit in the grill shell of the ‘78? Not that familiar with the logistics of getting round headlights into square grills.

'77 was the last year; '73 was supposed to be the last, but Ford put off the full-size Bronco for four years. Now, the headlights on the mid-year change '77 F-series were round only, and in '78, with the Bronco's release, the round headlamps were standard with rectangular ones as an option. In '79, the round ones were dropped, with the rectangular ones becoming the only ones available.

The '78 Bronco is my most favorite vehicle. However, I feel like I'll never own one, even a basket-cased s#!tbox, before I pass away.

The FORD truck front ends were like many other manufactures of the time in that they stayed with the same hood/fenders etc, but changed the grill/headlights to "update" the look.

So, as Andrew knows, my 78 Bronco was a Ranger XLT (top model) and had the square headlights. However my 78 Crew Cab was a Custom (base model) and it had the round headlights.
I did swap out the round for square in my crew cab, because I prefer the look. ;)

An autogyro, a high-wing monoplane and a biplane rolled into a hangar, the autogyro said, "I just flew in from St. Louis, and boy are my rotor blades tired!"

While the warmer weather is almost here, I enjoy being creative to keep myself busy during the winter months.
Recently I had this cool but damaged 20's, 30's Mercury Man radiator ornament laying around and decided it deserved a new life. Someone had cut off one of the arms and a rear portion of the ornament. Found a maple burl I had from a 150 year old maple tree we cut down years ago. Reshaped it to fit over the area cut away from the ornament. Added another piece of the maple for a base and a small piece of a colored rock out of my garden. Lots of sanding and some hand rubbed clear to reincarnate this into a great little display piece.
