Tell that to my folks! They are often heard to loudly denounce "that damn metric system" because of how "confusing" it is.
I just graduated when it became compulsory in School. The biggest scam there ever was! Remember when gas was 36.9 for a Canadian Gallon (5 US Quarts) or a gallon jug of milk, not this 3.83 litres at $4.97. What do we use most? We got shafted. The political song was that we'd have a European Trade Agreement and save on imports and sell exports. What a focking scam! NEVER, EVER BELIEVE A CANADIAN POLITICIAN. They get rebooted in a secret lab to LIE, DECIEVE, SLITHER and SCREW CANADIANS. Oh, sorry, I'm shouting! AND THEY TURN THEIR HEARING AIDS OFF FOR 4 FOCKING YEARS!
And all the mechanics and car guys had to buy a second complete set of wrenches! And what's with all the different screw heads on cars now days? 5 pointed stars, 6 points, 12....square drive, oblong drive........wtf is wrong with a simple slot or Phillips head? Oh.....we already HAVE tools for THOSE. Not to mention all the electronic gadgets you have to have to test your engine for problems. Most only give you half the codes and no one can afford them anyway. It's what happens when the tail wags the dog. And this dog is pissed off.
I hear ya. Drives me nuts when my favourite multibit driver doesn't do what I need. What possible purpose was served by creating Torx, security Torx, etc when a good ol' Robertson is the best for most applications! ...but it's good that none of us are bitter at all.
