Unfortunately, not much to update yet.... its a slow go. I worked on it a couple of evenings when I had time and have not had time to mess with it again. I have the front of the engine "tore down" to the timing chain cover. I have taken off the fan, fan shroud, water pump, alternator, etc. Ended up not being able to catch any of my coolant (my new tennis shoes ended up catching it  ) ... will have to replace that. Actually, I am down to where I need a harmonic balancer puller to get the crank off. I plan on trying to find one in my grandpas garage tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon and get it off to gain access to the chain. Hopefully its something there wrong with its installation, because if not, I guess its probably something with the cam itself... knowing my luck, probably the incorrect one. I hope not. If it is, I can not move anymore forward with this car. :(

I will report back more tomorrow.

King...didn't you originally say that the "no power" problem existed both before and after the new cam?

Oh boy, grandpa didnt have a harmonic balancer puller tool, so guess I will have to shell out more $ to buy one. Deeper and deeper $ in this car. Little here and there, but man its adding up. Sheesh.

What DG said. No reason to BUY a HB puller.

I have used two pry bars to remove HB's. No need to buy one. Maybe I missed something, why are you pulling this again?
