Sounds like an adventure and a half. The paint may not be faded, but oxidized. Use a Cali clay bar or a can of rubbing compound and old socks turned inside-out, and rub down the paint. The A/C controls--the main vacuum is not getting to the controls; you might have a vacuum leak or disconnected line under the hood, or at the controls. Pull the controls, and check the (should be) black vacuum line for vacuum with the engine running.

Lots of pretty gals have a big butt but they're still cute!
Does your wife know you spent the night in a motel with a girl you just met?

Check some of the posts about renewing the woodgrain. That's not really so bad in the photos.

I think shes just been sitting in the Arizona sun for awhile, kind of oxidized, she needs a good bath, and a nice cool place in my garage. :thumbs2:

Obvious the pics were taken after a nice cleaning up, then the wagon was left to sit in the sun quite a while. Still, it's a VERY nice Colony Park, and will look beautiful real soon. That interior is to die for..........

I love that interior............. The girl friend I was talking about is Rhonda! I saw her lurking in the motel parking lot.:yup:

I can't find where you called her Rhonda. Maybe that was another wagon in my mind.

Yeah, I'm sure the pai t just has a light oxide coat. Wash thoroughly with plenty of soapy water, then clay bar it when it's cooler, like first thing in the morning. Make sure the body is not broiling hot and follow the instructions closely. Maybe watch a couple videos of using a clay bar. Then TWO hand-rubbed coats of carnauba wax (Turtle Wax is excellent, IMHO) to protect the paint and really bring out the shine and depth.

Now all you need in the yard's a Big Wheel, a Schwinn Banana Peeler, several assorted Tonka trucks, half a dozen dolls, a hula-hoop and a Hippity Hop.

Not if he's old and retired like some people I know. I haven't ridden a Schwinn or played with my Tonka toys in years.
Keep quiet about the dolls and the rest!
Our other house is a 1961 and still factory original ugly white aluminum siding.
