Isn't that about the time Iacocca went to Mopar, from Ford?

I like the front of the LTD if done right. Here's a LTD front end on a Fairmont, not a wagon though.

Yeah, I was trying to coax HandyAndy into doing that with his other wagon, but she was taken off the road - May she rust in peace. :)

Climb every Monty (mountain)... She needs for the horn to be jacked up and a new floorpan under her. :rofl2:

Now that makes a totally different car almost looks like a Aussie version

Not sure if this has been posted here before but I'm not sure what to think of it.

That is one pretty car! Lots of work modifying the front end and then the bottom shape along both sides. I really like the way he made it look like a Hardtop - blacking the B-Posts. Slick! Thanks.

    RE: yellow "Mustmont" S/W

I was wondering if anyone out there would ever do that. Looks like the fender lines match up better than I thought. Got a bone to pick with the owner, though. Why didn't he continue the wide side moldings onto the doors, to unify the appearance? The ground effects help, but with the wide moldings stopping at the fenders made it look a bit odd.

Good point! I didn't notice that. Especially since they were moldings, weren't they? He could have modified them (most were plastic/PVC) to cover the Fairmont curves.

When Andy gets back, he'll drool for sure.

As the proud owner of a 92 mustang notchback, I must say that some cars are just not cut out to be a station wagon.

It's the execution that's lacking here. I swear this would look good if done in a slightly different manner.....
--- No double whammy hi-rise hood ( I'd use the SVO hood.)
--- A color combination that doesn't necessarily yell at you (might I suggest black, with a silver accent below the side moldings)
--- A little more integration of the Mustang front clip into the side styling, a la my previous post.
