Thanks for the comment!! The vibration is noisy, and i can feel it.. I have changed all the joints in the drive shaft, and the bearing in the drive shaft support.. The wheels have been balanced and all the bearings in the rear axle is new.. I think it must be the pinion angle that make it vibrate.. I mean, i have checked EVERYTHING else.. New angeled loweringblocks, and adjustable K-link supports is the next project, but the budget is kind of tight these days, so i will have to wait for the next paycheck to get anything done on the car..

Yes....after re-reading this thread...I would suggest to you that it is likely a pinion angle problem. Those big heavy wagons don't like much angle change. You may, possibly, have to rethink some of the suspension mods. With that said....the car is looking super great, 2low!:thumbs2:

As the Estate "sickboy" is coming together, the Blazer is sold and the Nash is located a thousand kilometers away i thought i could get myself some new hobby projects, and maybe earn a few cents... So i looked through the ads, looking for a wagon that didnt run and looked a little rough.. Lucky me, ifound TWO:yahoo: Opel caravans, one -97 and one -98. None of them would start so we towed them home.
The red Omega just needed a new starter, and some serious buffing, and a brakejob. Then off to the traffic inspection for a clean, good protocoll.. A wonderful car that we are going to sell, hopefully with a good profit in the next week or so.[IMG][IMG]

The white one, a Opel Vectra, had a broken head gasket according to the seller, and of course came dirt cheap. After a couple of hours troubleshooting i found that the relay for the fuelpump wasnt working, replaced it and the car just hopped up running like a charm.. Will have to buff it up, cuz its been sitting several months in the yard and is in terrible shape.. I will also fix the rust in the rear wheel wells, and fit new wheels on it..

Been a while since i updated here...

All the euro opels is gone, nice deals both of them!

Last week i got started on a better exhaust. The car is simply too low to ride around without a carefully built system.. As i was in the making, i replaced the stock primary tubes (2") with 2,5".. And instead of having the collectorpipe between the engine and the trans, i built it to get together to the three inch between the gearbox and the shaft support.. Accidently, the muffler did´nt come back on, so it sings a sweeeet song from the pipe now! Had to replace the starter too, it has been sagging when hot, more and more, and i actually did´nt notice until it just wouldnt start at the gas station after filling it up.. Strange, until i saw that it had a HELLA sticker on the top of it......:slap: Stupid, stupid europeans hwo attatch a german unit on my beloved US car.. ( I mean, how well did the krauts do in the ww,s??) And before some of my fellow europeans get mad, it was ironicly written.. I just cant stand BOSCH or other sewingmachineparts on my GM..

A new DELCO made all the difference, i think it revs like 1500rpm now, haha:banana:

Does anyone here ride on air?
I have added a ten gallon tank and bags in front this winter.. I also have added a pressureswitch and all the works around.. I use the TBI engines AC compressor to load the tank..
My problem is: The system is empty every morning when i get to the car.. I have leaktested all the fittings with leakdetector-spray, changed the valve on the compressor that prevents air from leaking through it.. As far as i can see, i dont have ANY leaks.. But still the car is flat to the ground after 7-8 hours.. My friend have the same problem.. Is it supposed to leak like this? When i only had bags in the back, it held pressure for weeks...

    Input anyone?

Had some detailing done, new headlights, polished some chrome, and added black paint in the grille shelf instead of the og grey, and of course had a new hood ornament, a german one, but it´s soooo pretty!

Just checked with son. He said when he installs air ride he puts a one way check valve in the line to the compressor so it doesn't feed back.
    Nice photos.

the easiest thing to do is a get a spray bottle ...fill it with 50/50 dish soap and water...air the sytem up and spray it all down....look for the bubbles(y)

ps; if you used TEFLON tape in all your fittings...then you might have some clogging up valves...or your 'check' valve is done :)

I have a new set of steel pipes that runs under the car instead of the plastic ones lying beside the car now, and with a new compressor, back pressure valve, and a new pressureswitch i hope it will work.. I havent had the energy to work on the car all summer.. I got so fed up with the leaking, compressors that burned out, and to top it the busted door, so i just put it in the garage, waiting for the motivation to come back..

And this is another reason I stopped adding air shocks and other accesories. The less things added the less problems. I'm ready to go back to a Model A.
