I know, just been a rough week (work wise) I apologize for being a grumpy sob this week. On a better note I did
get to mount and balance my tires today at work. The shock on the new guys face that the guy in the office with
Polo shirt could mount and balance tires, even had to use the cheetah tank to seat the bead! While it isn't uncommon
among car guys it was just surprising to the new guy because he thought I was just a key puncher and pencil pusher.
Anyway still stuck at work at 5 but may get away early enough to get them on. Rain coming for tomorrow and bad
storms expected Sunday so may be another wasted weekend, guess we will see.

I guess there is no room at all due to rain coming that you could put your wheels on in one of your 32 garage additions..................

Stop picking on 1tireman Tedy. He's been a grumpy sob this week. And between him and 1tiredad they only have 28 garage additions.
I think the real problem here is Dennis still misses being a tire guy and has to relive his tire changing days now and then.

Here is a before and after shot and Tedy, I spent too much on tires and rims this month and was a little short on rent so he only let me work in the driveway!

New tires and wheels make me not so Grumpy...and closer to weekend and no Saturday at work!

UMMMM...well it did today but I am going to clean that ground and check for the vacuum line to the MAP, may be rotted or cracked. Has to be something simple, it runs too good when running and too good on the 300 mile trip back. I have the key to put in the Data link connector for it to flash code and a list I printed from alldata to tell me what they are. I will keep listening for suggestions and if all else fails have a tech at work (He is a royal pain he talks so much) but is a good guy and has all the different scan tools that will collect live data and all and he will look at it. He is one of the best techs but explains in detail the theory and other things that are way beyond me! :D

and my dad was picking on me before he left this evening about the same thing so luckily it fired right up so I reved it at him a couple times being a smart a$$ so he asked if I wanted to race his Malibu or something with my junk!

I still think you are lucky to have such a cool dad. :thumbs2:
Son has been driving a Buick Miada that runs like that. Gets around 2 1/2 MPG but runs like stink when it is not cutting out. Hopefully tomorrow he can find the right U-Joint for the new yoke he finally got from Little Rock someplace. His U-joint has to be one of those odd two separate size thingies on each end. He's had more problems with the yoke than the rest of the standard tranny swap. Be glad to get my truck parking place back. Danged kids!:slap:

Yeah, I can't complain. He gives me a hard time sometimes but he and I spend a lot of time together.

you can actually pull the codes up on the heater display. i have done it before on my 1993. can also pull up speedo reading, tach reading and a bunch of other stuff.
i think the GM service manual tells how..... but im too lazy to dig in the garage at the moment
its very similar to the way you do it on the 94-96 models. that info is on impalassforums.

i have an extra cargo color in the dark red im getting tired of moving around in my garage.

Nasty weather came in last night but it just looks nasty here so far. I got up early and one of the drivability mechanics lives just a few miles from me and likes to get up early and told me he would come by and look at it and give me some advice and help on my wagon. Of course started right up but I did clean the ground good and Robert, my co worker started messing around, pinched off vacuum to MAP sensor and it caused it to run rough so we believe we can eliminate it. Finally the service engine light came on and we got code 15 to flash, coolant temp sensor so $14 I grabbed one and been letting it run, drive it around the road here, come back, shut it off and start it right back up. So far so good, no service engine light and starting right up and doesn't seem to be running rich. Fingers crossed! :yup:

Just put about 20 miles on it, shut it off and started right back up with no problem! (y)

I also moaned and groaned enough about the rain, look what I got inside...1st car in the new addition!

Well back to doing a little buffing on the paint, it is cleaning up pretty good. I didn't realize how much oxidation was on the paint.

    NICE!

....the car looks good also;):pub:. Can sure tell the difference in climate between me and you, I'm on a rock island, in a rain forest climate, compared to where you live and I'm talking about your metal roof. Where I am if a roof was done like that you would not avoid inside moisture = out here with no vapor Barrier it would condensate on the inside of the shop = drip, drip, drip, drip.............

So then, when are you pulling the other wagon in..... or are you waiting for addition #35?:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::wave:

pis**ng rain here, don't have any where to hide from it, still waiting for your Dad to visit and ad onto my small over loaded 2 bay garage..... even my barn is full, 2 wagons, car parts, lumber, stuff.........
    :p

You obviously are not familiar with the "blue tarp syndrome" that exists in Louisiana. Tin roofs are more readily replaced after a hurricane than a decked and shingled roof. Even up where I live, I roofed my house with 120mph Dade County rated shingles because we frequently get 90mph microbursts and tornadic winds several times a year.
