Hi Di , top job on your work on both your wagons we down (you know were) our 70,71 falcons came out with a colour called Bronze Wine which I feel is a perfect match for your Pinto and a young friend of mine Melissa is in the process of doing a full number(stripped bare to shell only) and guess what colour it was and will be . Keep up the good work :victory: not far away:cheers:

Thanks, I don't know how many hours I sent on that front fender on the drivers side right now. It's close but I think I can get it perfect though. The other crinkle was easy. If I get it, I can get the Maverick done pretty quickly. It's a learning process for me I guess. Watching YouTube is helpful. It may have been easier to strip it to metal now that I'm into it. The Maverick has to be, someone stated it and didn't finish and let it sit for 35 years in a field, why I needed the new floor pans I guess. The Rambler, sat in a garage for over 30 years, so not so bad except the front fenders - and I just found the passenger side now :)

I think the Pinto will be near perfect, but the next ones will get better and better :)

    Thanks from up over :D

There's a bunch on the Pinto forum LOL Thanks though! In my area alone I know of a 70 wagon, 78 and 74 Pintos.

    Thank you :-D

Thanks :) I'm getting closer. This is what it looks like now, and someone stopped by who had a Pinto - actually the person I bought it from :)

I even found the correct door panels for inside. There are now air shocks on it to level it. Ford and leaf springs that always sag ahahahaha Or wheel hop :(

OK, it's Sunday but I worked on it anyway. Saturday was a day shooting at the range and doing the yard. I hard ordered lacquer primer and it didn't come in, shows tomorrow or Tuesday. So I went ahead and sanded more of it. Finding that these little chip marks have rust underneath so I start a small section and end up doing a lot like you see on the roof.

The edges and smoothing them to be level with no ridges is a killer!

    Well, here's Milo today :D

I missed this whole thread, great lookin' Pinto! As for names of cars, it depends on what I am working on but I usually have a few choice names that I can't repeat here :D and I have a hard time deciding what cars to keep and what to get rid of so I try to keep 'em all! :)

For some reason SMILEY the 1941 Ford is the only car I've named. I think our son named it that when he was around nine.

I have a few choice ones for Milo right now LOL I really haven't decided on a name for the 1959 Rambler Cross Country Wagon yet and the 1970 Maverick I don't know either - this one just seems like a Milo!

I have 3, I like them all, so I'm having a hard time also. Think I'll keep all of them LOL
