By the way, Dianne what do you call the pink rose mauve Rambler? "Rose"

    Well, that's a gimme.
Maybe you can trade the Maverick for a proper Ford Falcon wagon.

The Pinto and a Falcon would make a nice pair.
    ....
Rambler wagons are solid gold low tech American cars, and draw crowds at any car show or cruse in. :camera:

As much as I love wagons it would be very hard to give up a Maverick. Have loved those since grade school.

It seemed like the name when Dave brought it over :-D

The Ramber's name is Lucy. No name for the Maverick yet LOL

This is Milo after some bodywork. Getting ready to paint this one, not a lot to do and have some help since I'm not great on repairs like this one.

This is Milo phase 1 of the paint!

If my memory serves, these Pintos did not have inner fenders which explains why the fender tops tended to rust. If I am right, there may be a different car that can donate inners to Milo. I think the later Mustang II had them, for one. Since the two cars are platform mates, they should work. One other trick, before you go to paint. I always outline any trim, very lightly, with a pencil, then mask off around that area after I remove the trim. I spray on the clear/light coloured stone guard, then prime and paint as normal. Since those areas are hidden by the trim nobody sees it, but it does keep dirt and moisture away from the body. It also prevents galvanic reactions that can cause the body to rust as well as deterioration of the trim. And use stainless steel for any screws that hold the trim on, for the same reason. Milo is going to be a little sweetheart of a wagon. Be sure to show us what he looks like when he's all done!

The top wasn't rusted on these, there was a crinkle on the fender. That's why it's bondoed on the front fender. No rust on this car at all except the surface rust that was taken off.

I'll tell you what on the trim on the Ramber, rust all over the place under the trim, that's where that trick would work well, that's why that one has so much sanding on it.

The rest should be completed today I'm hoping!

Then I'm having the back windows tinted and completed also.

You know, I don't know if I answered you on this one. Milo just seemed right for the name, like Lucy for the Rambler wagon :-D

The question now is either trim rings or mags on it... Probably going to go with trim rings I think because the car is kinda basic :) I dunno, I have to look around...
