I looked up the AAA location in Yakima, 102 East E street. Looks like the building is from the right time period. It's a Coldwell Banker Realtor office now.
Some Sunday you and the boys out to sneak up there in the pick up and snap a picture of it in the middle space. Cropping out the real estate sign. I betcha Grampa drove that thing to the Tripple A a time or two.
That would be fun. I'm sure he did too. Except he would have done most likely done it at the Pasco office, not the Yakima one.
My Buddy stopped by the house yesterday in his GMC. He's a nerd like me and couldn't resist taking a photo of our two trucks parked side by side.
Drove it to work the other day. I thought to myself as I parked "boy, I'm sure glad I don't have to drive east in the morning and stare into the sun the entire way..."
Now those of you who saw this thread in the beginnig will likely get a kick out of this. Last weekend I drove the F-100 to a local punkin patch. Afterwards we stopped at the local ACE Hardware. When we came out side we found our truck's twin sitting in the parking lot. Here's the truck from ACE: Here's my truck the day I brought it home: That was fun. I didn't get a chance to photograph them together, but I did get a photo from inside my truck as we were leaving.
That’s so fun. One day I was sitting at a light and a red ‘68 Impala Convertible made a left in front of me. I flipped a U turn to follow it. It wound up it is literally 5 blocks from my house and nearly identical to my red ‘68. It is a small world out there.
If I had to buy a GM truck, it'll always be a Jimmy. It's too bad you also didn't get a front-on shot, unless there's something embarrassing about it.
I sure like the style-toned paint on yours versus the solid color. Glad you’re the Steward of Grandpa’s stuff.
Nope, nothing embarrassing about it. He and I have this thing where we will go by each other's houses or places of work on our way to do something else, snap a photo and then text it after we've left. It's kind of juvenile, but it's fun. This was one of those photos.
