I know just how you feel, especially the part about the wreck with the deer.
my first 1986 Pontiac parisienne wagon got rear ended by a 1998 cadillac deville and written off by ICBC (our insurance company out here in vancouver British Columbia Canada) and I cried on scene when my dad said that. it was my first car AND the first car my dad gave me.
Now I own 2 pontiac wagons, another 1986 and a 1987, the 1987 is a W.I.P as I need to replace the brake line in it that blew up and do a motor swap and a slight interior rebuild/restore. the 86 i'm trying to get running for the spring.
But yes, I know the pain, at least you were able to save yours, i'm struggling to find parts for mine.
