My 1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari build

    Nice project, if my wagon wasn't my daily driver I would tear it down like that. While doing the body rust repairs take a good look on the inside of where the tail lights are, that's where my Country Squire had the most rust. Water leaks from the back window and the trim mounting holes caused that.

    sanded the quarters and put some more guide coat on them. they are pretty much 100% now

    Tailgate looks a little crusty but my body guy says "Sonny fix!" lol See that metal strip? I need one. Dont know where to get it.

    Found some wheels today. "Ridler" brand. They are chinese, so I will keep an eye on them.

    I bought the wheels on the right, for the rear. Love that huge lip! 20x10 in the rear, and 18x8 in the front. $700 for all the wheels, lugnuts, and valve stems.

    Boy, that tailgate is a bit crusty. Sounds like your body man is confident he can fix it though.

    having a hard time finding window run channels, so he measured the ones from the car and I'm trying to match it up the best I can

    Tested the tail gate switch to figure out why the window wont go up or down with the key. switch is fine.

    He painted the interior metal (on the sides of the 3rd seat).

    Congratulations mate, that is a very impressive build you have going there. Can't wait to see the final stages.

    I would love rebuild mine in a similar fashion... damn $$$ though. All that aside, it is certainly an inspirational thread!
