-------->No offense grandpas!:rofl2: See I had it covered. Besides I'm probably old enough to be your grandpa. I just never liked plain blackwall tires. My first 1975 Ford pickup ran chrome slotted "Superior" brand wheels and narrow white walls. Had to beg the tire guys to mount them out. :dancing:

Denny, if you have a bulge like that in the tread, that tire is NOT going to make it to Illinois! Either new tires before you leave, or at least GOOD used ones to see you get there in one piece! The last thing any of us wants is to see YOU as the centre piece of a news article posted here, saying you crashed on the interstate, and you, Dollie, and the Wagon are all dead!

    Denny ole boy....
Gonne show you (and others) a cute widdle trick.....

I just bought tires for one of the vans....
Looked it up,,235/75/15,, saw price of 64$....
ok,, kewlll... lets go shopping.. Call store and get told tires are 85$ each....
    WHOAAAAAA!!! WTF!!
Guy says check location (city)... Ok,, so it says Renton , Wa. BFD....
Guys says change location to Chicago.. So I do,, OMG!! freaking 85$ now...
So say to guy,, " well, you guys do price matching so match your own price"...
    Says he can't....
So me, being ME,, I calls up the district office.... Guy that returns call says
each locale sells by criteria of that area... My area allows for a higher price on that tire...
So I tell guy to price match his own price....
    Guess what,,, he D O E S ......
Plus mount and balance was 16$ each and got that for 8$ each...

Soooo,, moral of this story.... If ya finds it fer less elsewhere then have company
price match... If they want the sale,, they will....
In todays economy the BUYER has more say......

Thanks everyone for tips about this tiring decision. Over two months ago my son removed the Cragers and well aged new looking tires from our 55 Chevy wagon. He took them to our "Tire Mart" approximately eight miles away and had new tires mounted.
Apparently white lettered tires are now a truck tire only thing and white walls are rare. But he did get a set of four of those 1" wide whites mounted and balanced for around $425 or so tax and waurantee. Since I am too tired to walk out to the garage to check I forgot what popular brand or size they are. I do believe they are 235/75/15.
I can not take pictures because way back when I got this new computer on Black Friday 2012 I have not found the installation discs for any of my three digital cameras. Which means I have not been able to add pictures to my computer in a long time. Adding to this delema someone bought a home computer without any cards lots. :camera:Take my word, they actually look nice.
These are my excuses and I'm too tired to make up anymore.
Thanks again for the untiring assistance to this thread.

In conclusion, this is a tiny town with only two real tire shops plus another maybe 10 miles in the tinier tiny town north of us. I could drive to the "Big City" or get tires from one of the other many small garages. But service, dependibility that they will be there next week, and not having to drive over 100 miles round trip for minor problems was a factor. It seems that the average price for 50,000 mile tires is around $100 each. So I got retired and am a happy retiree.

Just plug the camera in and Windows should know what to do with it.
You should not need any special drivers.

Usually, the disk that comes with a camera contains only user manual and some free version photo editing software.

Thanks. I was thinking that may be true. I have gotten slightly lazy and put things off till tomorrow, or the next day. One of the camera cords is actually laying on my desk now just waiting to be plugged in both ends.
Still can't believe I bought a home computer without a dozen camera card slots. What was I thinkin?

65 series are a bit of an odd duck, you'll be limited to off brand tires these days.
EDIT: whoa, was I wrong! look here;http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...omSizeSearch=&width=215/&ratio=65&diameter=15 $115 for those Michelins is tough to beat.
A 235/60 will give you about the same diameter and a 205/70 will be only 7.5 mm taller, insignificant, and provide a nice ride.
If you go with the 65 or 70 series General's Altimax has good revues and is priced right. I put a set on a Subaru and while I didn't keep the car to judge winter performance or how long they'll last I was pleased with them, especially for the price.

BFG T/As are popular for a reason, they look good, grip the road, and don't cost an arm and a leg.

    "RETARDED".:rofl2:Now you know!
When I became 55 they put me on disability because I slowly became retarded as I got older. Then I had the station wagon retired after I was retired and got older yet, becoming more retarded from all this retirement.
