I wasn't aware of this. May have to try it out next year. We usually go to Pigeon Forge for the Rod Run this time of the year. Not sure we can do both. I went to the Emerald Coast Cruise, in PCB, several years ago, which takes place in November, I think. Not that great of a turn-out though. Looks like Crusin the Coast and centered in Gulfport, MS. http://www.cruisinthecoast.com/Event_Info.html
Early day today, made it from 8 am to about 1pm cruising around. A lot of cars hit the roads today, took me about 1 1/2 hours to go 25 or so miles...I think for traffic like this I need to do a hydraulic clutch swap or go to a automatic in my old truck. Morgan and I made it thru the traffic and had to stop and rest my legs. Got some more pictures and seen something for everyone...even a "Lambo" don't ask me to spell the correct name, a Mississippi public high school education only goes so far the car does nothing for me personally but I had to take a picture of it because not sure I have ever seen one in person before. One of the cleanest car I seen so far was a 1978 Ford Granada that looked like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. Anyway another great day with Morgan, my dad and my mom joined us today. One more day of fun then a day of rest then back to reality Monday morning.
Yeah, I slip in a picture of ours The one of the VW truck with the old tri-cycle and pedal cars in, that's my dad eyeing the stuff up in the back. I had a hard time dragging him away from that stuff. He wanted to make the guy a offer on his props he hauls around. My dad left to go back home tonight and Morgan and I will leave in the morning but we upgraded to his room at the casino where we stay because he has the Jr. Suite with a Jacuzzi tub that Morgan is swimming in now! I would have to drive back and forth everyday if it wasn't for him. He gets 2 free regular rooms and a Jr. Suite for the week every year...They call them "FREE" but I kinda have it figured how much he pays for the rooms He probably could have bought a hotel on the coast with what he has spent in the last 21 years at the casino!
I'm sure we've seen the VW truck with the old tri-cycle and pedal cars at Daytona shows and maybe other Florida shows. Again thanks. Didn't look real crowded for parking in most of those areas. Kinda wonder if those RV's stayed free all nite.
