Nope, he's not really selling it unless someone more foolish than him pays the small fortune he wants! He is just afraid someone might park close in the regular parking lot and hurt his precious paint job. If he makes it that far he'll be lucky! I might offer $1011 if foxy proves he drove all the way to Jefferson and back home.
I didn't go either, I have been up in Harmony Grove working on my wagon since thurs. This makes the 4th I have missed since I moved here.
Weather really plays a part in car events. It's just not fun when it's wet or chilly! Here, it was 90's and sunny. On the plus side the location has thick soft grass and large oak trees. Perfect for a small car show. No vendors. You guys could have driven down for this event. It's all down hill------both ways!
I love going to Jefferson, but, there seems to be a hex on that event! The Spring show has rain, wind and cold temps 90% of the time! I will never know why they don't change the dates for the Spring show. It's odd, but, it seems that the weekend before and after is always gorgeous. Go figure??
It was many years ago that we were there last. I do remember spring shows when it was beautiul and those days like this past weekend. Even when the temps are warm, rain and wind mess up things for vendors and visitors.
I did go, It was a down pour as soon as i got the car windows cleaned @ 6am Damm birds. Wet, cold but still lots to see. Big prices in the for sale area.
I stopped and looked at that green Townsman a few times. If it were a Caprice with woodie sides, it may have come home with me lol. There was a '59 Dodge there that I took the number down for, I am interested but gotta get my ducks in a row before making an offer. If it's gone by then, it wasn't meant to be.
